The Thieves is inspired by stories of blends used by a band of thieves during the time of the Bubonic Plague, also known as the Black Death, which devastated Europe in the Middle Ages. There is a story that has been widely circulated over the years that 4 thieves were captured and charged with stealing. Although they stole from the sick, dead or dying, they did not get sick. They claimed to use a blend of herbs that they applied to protect themselves. Over the centuries, various combinations of herbs, vinegar’s and essential oils have been used to recreate the benefits experienced by the “Four Thieves”.

The Thieves is our modern day interpretation of these historical blends and uses a combination of essential oils that have been valued for their antibacterial, antiviral and anti-fungal properties.
